Cammy has been providing compassionate, open and thought-provoking therapy for the past five years. Her general approach is to explore the root of the issue and build upon your strengths to find ways to move forward in life that feel right to you. She uses a variety of therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Rogerian/Humanistic Therapy and Trauma Focused CBT. Her practice focuses on issues surrounding family and relationships, gender, grief and loss, mood, self-esteem, stress and trauma.
Cammy enjoys deeply getting to know the people that she works with and collaborating creatively on their therapeutic journey. Her previous work experience has included working with trauma survivors, immigrant families, and young students as well as general therapy. She has worked with people from a wide spectrum of ages, races, sexualities and life experiences.
Cammy also has extensive experience working with children using Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy and Theraplay. These therapies focus on play as a mode of expression, which allows children to understand themselves, process their feelings and experiences, and improve their relationships with others in a way that feels natural and engaging to them. Her work with children often involves family therapy sessions as well.
